Privacy Policy

  1. Overview

Bumpin´ Confluence Citations (“the App”) is a Forge app for Atlassian Confluence Cloud. This policy describes how the App processes data within your Atlassian Cloud site.

  1. Data the App can access

The App can access:

  • Confluence page content and metadata

  • Confluence page and space properties

  • Confluence space information (name, key, ID)

  • Basic Confluence user information (e.g. display name, account ID) as exposed by Atlassian APIs

The App does not collect or process data from outside your Atlassian Cloud site.

  1. How the App uses data

The App uses Confluence data to:

  • Create and maintain citation “sources” and “calls” using page and space properties

  • Manage document control information such as approval‑sensitive citation states and version relationships

  • Build and maintain citation indexes for faster space‑wide views

  • Provide overview pages, exports and reports for audits and regulatory evidence

  • Perform administrative maintenance (e.g. rebuild indexes, clean up orphaned properties, clear app‑specific data from a space)

The App does not use your data for advertising or any purpose unrelated to providing the described functionality.

  1. Data storage and location

  • All app data is stored inside your Atlassian Cloud environment, using Confluence page and space properties and Atlassian’s Forge platform.

  • The App does not store customer data in any external database or infrastructure controlled by Jan Reinhardt (hardtsoft) outside Atlassian Cloud.

  1. Data sharing

  • The App does not share your data with third parties.

  • Data may be processed by Atlassian as part of normal Atlassian Cloud operation, under Atlassian’s own terms and privacy policy.

  1. Data retention and deletion

  • Data created by the App (page and space properties, index pages, cluster pages) remains in your Confluence site until you or your administrators delete it.

  • Space administrators can remove app‑specific data using the App’s administrative tools (e.g. clear space‑level citation data) or by uninstalling the App and deleting related pages/properties.

  1. Security

  • The App runs on Atlassian’s Forge platform and uses Atlassian‑provided authentication and authorization.

  • The App only uses the permissions (scopes) required for its functionality (read/write/delete Confluence content and properties).

  • Access to your data is limited to authorized users within your Atlassian site, according to your Confluence permissions.
